Everything appears to be on track for the sneaker production to begin in April with shipping beginning shortly afterwards.
If you haven't completed your Backerkit Survey yet, now is the time to do so. We would like to lock the orders in the next couple of weeks.

Hello Backers,
We finally received a tentative production date (the week of February 21st 2022) from the Korean EVA supplier. They have advised us that this date is conditional upon their receiving the raw materials as planned.
If this production date is met, it will take a approximately 30 days to ship the EVA from Korean to Mexico, which means that the outsole factory should be able to complete the outsole production by early April 2022. Assembly of the sneakers will begin within a week of the outsoles being made.
We will provide an additional update in January.

Further to the previous posts regarding the EVA material supply chain issues, we still have not received a production date from our EVA material supplier in Korea. We are contacting them weekly.
We will provide additional updates as we learn more.

Hello Backers,
Industry-wide EVA shortages have resulted in a delay in the shipment of the EVA resins used to make the sneaker outsoles. Due to these supply chain issues, the Korean factory that makes our customized EVA resins is still unable to provide us with a manufacturing timeline. They have advised us that they have a sizeable backlog of orders and that larger orders will be processed first as the raw materials become available. In an attempt to expedite things, we have increased our order from 2,000 kg to 10,000 kg.
Based on the information that we have now, the factory will advise us one month before our EVA's production date. They will ship the order on the following business day, and it will take 30 days by sea and land to arrive at our outsole factory in Mexico. We have looked into shipping a quantity of the EVA by air, but it is illegal to do so.
Production of the sneakers will begin as soon as the EVA arrives at the outsole factory. It will take one to two weeks to make all of the sneakers ordered.
No supply chain issues are affecting the other footwear components.
We will provide additional updates as we learn more.

We will be sending you an email with a Backerkit survey shortly. The Survey contains questions relating to your BioPods sneaker and Add-on preferences (size and colors).

Please visit this page before starting the Survey to get your Custom Size Code and note your preferred Sneaker model(s) and color scheme(s). There will also be a link to this page in the Backerkit Survey.
Please note: The Custom Size Code produced by the Configurator must be input into the Survey. The Sneaker Model/Color selections are also made in the Survey. This information is NOT collected from the Custom Size Configurator page.
